00:15 Moin (Hi) and welcome to Let`s Play Trainz: A New Era. 00:20 Today we are going to drive a Trainz Session with a class M62 diesel engine. 00:25 These engines were used throughout eastern Europe. 00:30 Deutsche Reichsbahn in the GDR had called them class 120. 00:35 Here is a picture from Pasewalk, mid-1970es 00:43 These engines were used for freight trains on many routes 00:48 in the 1990es they were withdrawn from service. 00:54 Here you see two of them at Hagenow Land. 01:02 Here is the route menu of trainz. Our route shows up as Andrushivka-Vinnitsa. 01:12 There are four sessions and we are going to drive this one: Fastow-Mosti, day oil. 01:20 On the right side you see preview images, the upper one showing our M62 diesel engine. 01:40 I have cut out the loading process here, it took more than three minutes on my PC. 01:45 You can see a description of the controls, they are the same as on most engines in Trainz 01:50 when you play in cab mode (realistic mode). 02:00 Here is information about the session. 02:09 Here is our schedule, written with cyrillic letters, as in Ukraina cyrillic letters are the preferred method of writing. 02:20 And now I am going to close all these windows - session instructions, schedule, and quick drive. 02:31 And here is our train. Let's have a look. 02:35 Here is our diesel engine, or rather a double engine. 02:41 It is not just a couple of M62 engines. 02:44 Both units are connected by means of a bellow. 02:47 You can walk through from one engine to the other. 02:52 That's why they are numbered as class 2M62. 02:59 And now let's get inside. 03:05 Here we are inside the cab. 03:11 There is a second man on the engine. 03:17 Here are the controls, reverser, throttle, brake valves. 03:31 Later on you will see that I do not operate all these controls with the mouse. 03:34 I like to use keyboard shortcuts like a for actuating the brake. 03:41 Now our signal has changed to Go Slow. 03:45 And there is the Right Away command – so let's go. 04:37 During my last tour through Poland I found that drivers used to whistle at every road crossing 04:41 whether it was barred or not. 04:44 I don't know the regulations of Ukrainian railways 04:47 but I think it will be safer to whistle here, too. 04:57 Now we are reaching a station. 05:02 Buildings start appearing to the left and to the right. 05:57 Here comes a signal with two yellow lights, probably it means Go Slow and Stop Ahead. 06:00 There is a large building on the left side. 06:03 I suppose it is a multi-track engine shed. 06:11 And now on the left there is the device where the engines can take sand. 06:14 There are two electric engines, one of them is a double engine. 06:23 Let's have a look to the right side. 06:26 Here we still see open nature. 06:29 It looks like we are still on the outskirts of Fastow. 06:32 And now, as we are approaching the station, more buildings appear on the right side. 07:12 Let's have a look at the building to the right of us. 07:16 Something with "locomotive" is written there. 07:19 Probably it is a large maintenance workshop. 07:36 And now we are approaching the passenger station. 07:42 Several passenger trains are waiting there. 07:49 The route monitor now says that the next signal is red and is some 800 meters ahead of us. 08:15 Waiting at the platform to the right there is an EMU, 08:20 these are typical for regional traffic in Ukraina (and EMUs not much different also operate in Russia). 08:26 I would like to draw your attention to the fence right of us. 08:33 I suppose passengers cross the rails here frequently 08:39 and the railway company wants to stop this. 08:44 Now we are approaching the next signal 08:48 where we will probably have to stop 08:53 and let some passenger trains pass ahead of us. 09:48 While this cream/green regional EMU is leaving the station 09:50 we will have some time 09:53 for a look around. 10:21 Here in external view you can see the station and the area around it. 10:26 There are large apartment blocks. 10:30 In the foreground there is our freight train with the green diesel engines. 10:36 Another train is coming into the station. 10:42 Let's have a look to the other side of the tracks. 10:45 We see high apartment buildings on this side as well. 10:50 This is the view into the direction where we are going to leave the station soon. 11:24 While we are waiting we can have a look around the engine's cab. 11:37 Here is a box with switches and fuses, probably. 11:41 Here is a mirror where the driver can look to the rear. 11:46 Another detailed view of the various controls. 11:50 But here is our order to proceed. 12:09 Let us accelerate now. 12:12 The route monitor still says that the signal ahead is red. 12:15 Ah, now it has changed first to yellow and then to green. 12:21 The signal now shows a permanent plus a flashing yellow light. 12:26 I wouldn't call that green. 12:31 I suppose, this means that we can leave the station at reduced speed 12:34 and the next signal will also show Go Slow. 13:07 Look at the switch in front of us. 13:10 In this route switches with moving point blades are used. 13:17 In the world of the Trainz game these were introduced with Trainz: A New Era. 13:21 You have a realistic view of the tracks 13:24 and you can see where the train will be going to. 14:46 Now we are passing between several vehicles on the sidings. 14:50 The route monitor states that we are allowed to go at 40 kilometers per hour 14:53 and the next limit will be 80 kph. 14:55 So we can accelerate now. 14:58 Soon we will have left Fastow station 15:02 and we will be on the open route. 17:00 Here two branch lines are separating from our route - 17:03 one to the left and one to the right side. 17:07 We continue on the right track of the double track main line. 17:13 Here you can see this in external view. 17:46 I have switched off the windows of the user interface with F5 17:49 so we can enjoy the route in a more realistic view 17:54 like the engine driver. 18:32 Let's have a short look at the map. 18:36 This is where we started at Fastow. 18:39 At present, we are here (Adair). 18:42 Let's zoom out. 18:45 You see that this is quite a large map. 18:48 That is why this session takes about one hour. 19:38 In front of us there are the platforms of a rural station. 19:41 Probably the regional trains and EMUs stop there. 19:45 For us it's now time to say Tschüss (bye).

Я бы перевел, но слишком много всего там, слишком долго буду писать, не охота.
Ну, он немец, плюс, может, и не железнодорожник. У нас тут тоже многие катают абы как.
