i write in the name of many other Trainz users all over the world.

We think that your TS 2010 Trees are the best (free) available at the moment,
unfortunately they are not available on DLS, only here :-(

Is it possible for you to upload them to DLS, too?

With this post, I offer you my help for that! :-)

Dear Basti.
I am not responsible for SpeedTree development. But I am unsure if Speedtrees made the Russian way are compliant to all kind of Auran license and EULA's. I believe they are developed with some 3rd party SDK. And until clearence from Auran whether they are legal, or illegal we cannot risk uploading to DLS. If you are interested though there are torrent links somewhere in tis topic.

If they include "illegal copies" of 3rd party - software...you're right unfortunately :-(

I am working on a large layout that I want to offer some day,
all content should be on DLS.
Thats why Torrent or so wouldn't be an alternative...unfortunately

Dear Basti
I only know that the trees are made with the free SpeedTree SDK from UnrealEditor 3.
How they are imported into the game I have no idea. If that procedure is legal (After all the SDK is free and can be used by anyone) there should not be any hindrances of uploading the Speedtrees on the DLS. Unfortunately I am not a lawyer and know nothing about licenses.
(Товарищу объяснил что быстродеревья сделаны с помощью бесплатной программы. Но не знаю каким способом их в игру вставляют. Кто знает объясните. i've found nothing where the use of the results in other games is prohibited.

Your problem is the license of Auran DLS where is written that content may be sold?
Because selling the UnrealEd Results is forbidden?

Thats why I dont use Jankvis' Trees and Ultra Treez. Both payware, both no way for me!

Its easy to download from a website in general, yes.
But when you have a big layout that has many dependencies, you're happy if everything is on DLS and you don't need to search... maybe there is a legal DLS-Alternative one day... but at the moment, DLS is important...

Pofig and dim-dim456 (authors of these trees) told that thay hate DLS because they couldn't download from it any content. So they propose to make links to their trees (if you are creating map).

I think for this fellow it wouldn't be complicated to make a link of the site he'd downloaded the trees near the link of his map. Russian addons are free, the registration isn't required to download them.

You may put the trees on your page, if you credit the right authors, perhaps with a link back to this thread in the description. But go ahead and enjoy those SpeedTrees in your route. Sadly the auhros as mentioned couldn't get DLS to work quite right with their connections. I could, but I am not the author of those mighty fine SpeedTrees.

Pofig says DLS is virtually inaccessible because of constant 'Server appears to be full' error messages in CMP.
Today he was able to download only 17 assets from there.
Looks like this troubles began earlier than this DLS update.
However, I haven't got any problems with downloading from DLS.

Блин. Какого хрена нужно создавать проблемы себе и другим . Дался вам этот DLC . У меня в списке около 200 элементов которые я не могу скачать . А если могу то они не устанавливаются. 860 элементов с куид.ру я слил за три часа. 324 с DLC пять дней . Российские ST вы можете либо упаковать вместе с картой , либо выложить отдельно на своём сайте . Что мешает ?

Repair. In the archive embedded text file with a list of kuid. Before installing, type in the list in the search for and remove any that will find content manager. When installing the top may remain unused files.

What Pofig ment was. He made new trees, and fixed the old ones (removed the normal maps, and recompiled the texture to take less space) Included is a textfile with kuids. Enter the kuids fromt he textfile in your Content Manager search and remove all things that were found. If just installing and overwriting without searching and removing, there will be errors. Older archives have been removed by administration at my request. There were too many trees made with eight bit alpha, heavy and just bad. There are two archives availible, they are enough for the first time. I'm still working on trees, new ones also will be released as public domain.

For myself i've so much projects running, there is no time at the moment to learn using the SpeedTree tool.
Your trees are way better for european layouts than the australian ones ;-)

I've my new server now and will begin to upload the trees in the next weeks.

But there is a problem with the trees in TS 2010:
When changing the time in surveyor (editor) in the environment settings, the trees dissappear... is that known?
Only reloading the layout helps...

With trees Auran also not going smoothly. I for example, after installing 20 trees, they disappear in the editor window.
With regard to the disappearance of trees in the 6 and 12 hours. Reboot does not necessarily pull in enough away and then come back. I hope game developers corrected these shortcomings.
